I always think about search engine optimization as trying to climb to the top of the Google Mountain. Every once in a while, you can get there. Breath the Mountain View air. "Made it, Ma. Top of the world."
Everyone who has worked on tweaking metadata for search engine optimization has felt like screaming at some time. It's just the nature of the job. Meticulous. Pain in the Butt. Tedious. But Very important. Try discussing metadata at a party and you'll find yourself standing in the corner by yourself. At least that's where I'm usually at.
This was written when President Obama was flying to Hawaii even though there were two hurricanes on the way. It had the ring of a disaster movie to it: "Don't Worry, Mr. President. The flight will be smooth."
